This has to be the best movie of the eighties!!!! Who else can produce a movie about 5 high school teenagers in detention on a Saturday. The actors/actresses in the movie also helped it become one of the all time favorite movies of the eighties. I could not think of anyone better then the brat pack. Each of the characters clearly represented the different types of groups that I remember when I was in high school. During the movie, each individual thinks they are somewhat better then the other but after sharing information about themselves and the reasons they are in there, they come to the conclusion that, even though they would not be see with eachother Monday at school, they all are basically the same and they share the same teenage issues. The script was something that I can almost memorize. Believe it or not, at my work my co-workers & I picked certain lines that we liked the most & posted them outside our office. I know that sounds strange, but sometimes you need to do crazy things to get through the day!!!!! Mine is the line that Ally Sheedy says when Emilio Estevez & Michael Anthony Hall see all the junk in her purse. If you remember, it is when she says "I don't have to live on the streets, I can go to the ocean, I can go to the country, etc." I know this sounds strange, but it was a great movie!!!!! I don't think there is any movie in the 90's about a group teenagers that could outdue this one.
