I think I was probably less disappointed by the movie because I saw the movie first. I think had I seen the stage production first the movie may have disappointed me more.

I had seen the original Broadway production and loved it. Naturally, when I heard a film was to be made I was excited. I never actually saw the film until about 2 or 3 weeks ago when I rented it from Netflix. I was VERY disappointed...to the point where I got bored, fell asleep and didn't really want to watch the rest of it.
