If you like this, you'll love the Sinbad movies. Harryhausen had more of a budget and some of the actors even could act. Jason and the Argonauts was also among Harryhausen's best. :>

I freaking loved this when I was a kid, and even though I'm older, I still love it because it's one of those "This is kinda dumb, but it sure is fun to watch!" movies.
I like making stuff retain its charm for as long as possible.

Yeah, I think kids will like it just fine but it doesn't retain its charm once you get a little older. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, Robin!

I remember watching this when I was about 11 and I loved it, but when I saw it again as an adult it did lose some of it's charm. Nice review!

This movie did not get nominated for any Oscars. Ray Harryhausen got an honorary Oscar for his whole career as a pioneer in special effects.
