I mean, Pulitzer, Nobel Prize, and Phd... Alice doesnt have a graduate degree...yet I still think they are equal as powerful writers.

I think she probably would get my nod for being more powerful than Alice. I see her as being a real broker.

I feel that Morrison is difficult to embrace, too, but for talent, Morrison would get my nod.
There was a whole lot of criticism of the movie "The Color Purple" and more than a little of the book, but both have endured.

Since they are best friends I don't put them in competition with each other lol. I must argue that yes, I would put Alice before Toni...I think Alice is more natural than Toni. I value Toni and she is great...but there is something there that keeps me from embracing her wholly.
