My Favorite Movie... (Reply to this comment)
by RichBoston
...thanks for doing it justice. I related to everything - the speech by James Earle Jones...well if you love baseball it brought tears to your eyes.
I also lost my Dad when I was 19 before I really knew him and wish I could have...well you know the story.
When on business in Cedar Rapids a few years ago I drove out to the field in Dyersville. It was almost a religious experience which could only be understood by someone who loved the film.
Thanks for a great review!

Great job on this one--I like the idea of rebirth and rebuilding yourself.
I didn't know that Amy Madigan was married to Ed Harris. I still remember her from that prison movie where she had a baby.

Top notch... (Reply to this comment)

review. Very well written, and an excellent read, almost as much entertainment as the movie itself, which stands till this day as one of very few movies I can watch more than once. It is becoming one of those must-do annual things......Mike
