"Funny Farm" has a simple premiss, but it is full of gags and laughter! This is Chevy Chase at his best. Madolyn Smith accompanies Chevy on this romp through the country scene.
Chevy was a big city writer who decides to give it all up, buy a farm in the country, and write his first novel. The novel never gets written, but he certainly creates plenty of subject matter for a great comedy and it's "Funny Farm".
Chevy Chase is wonderful as the straight man in life in this film. Madolyn Smith is overwhelmed by the hilarious situations that happen time and time again. This movie is full of what can be called strange locals! All of these characters from the Sheriff that can't drive, to the insanely mad mailman, all add to the overall hilarious situations.
This is a must see for anyone that enjoys a good comedy full of laughs. If you are a Chevy Chase fan, you certainly must see this film. Be prepared to laugh and bring the whole family, everyone will enjoy "Funny Farm"!
