My husband and I were watching "Grease" for about the hundredth time in our five years of being together and I thought . "Wow , this would make a great epinion." So here I go. I can say that most of the general population has seen this musical movie at least once their selves but I still decided to write about what this movies means to me....

"Grease" broke all ground when the producers at Paramount decided to come out with a romantic movie with lots of song and dance that is based in the fifties when the "cool" guys greased they're hair back and wore leather. The women got in to they're one social clicks and had sleepovers to gossip about what was happening in their adolecent lives.

Little did Paramount know that "Grease" was going to make many women and men alike fall in love all over again with the fifties , music and an all out good time.... It also has us reminicing about the simple ways of young love.

A young and very greasy John Travolta plays "Danny" a boy who talks tough but falls in love with a girl from the other side of the world named "Sandy" played by the uncomparible Olivia Newton John.Danny likes his buddys to think that he is tough so when Sandy shows up at his chool after their romantic summer interlude on the beach Danny thinks that if he shows he has feelings for her than he will be laughed at so he battles with caring for the girl and wanting to also be one of the guys.

Sandy falls into a click called the "pink Ladies" . One of the pink ladies has a thing for Danny and gets jealous with Danny's affection for Sandy and this makes for a hilarious look in to some things that never change.

You get to follow these high schoolers through their senior year at "Ridell High" and see the transformation of Sandy from the pretty good girl, to the Sandy that wowed the socks off of John Travolta in the end of the movie. The scemes and every day lives of teenagers haven't changed much since the fifties but it is interesting to see how things were when the fifties still reigned.

The musically score is great and you will find yourself going to buy the soundtrack or if you don't maybe just being caught up in "Summer Love" or "Beauty School Dropout". If you like movies with music and love mixed than Grease is for you. "Rizzo", "Kinicki" "Sandy" , "Danny" and the rest of the gang will stay in your hearts forever...
