Jeremiah Johnson was released in 1972 and was one of the best westerns I have ever seen. Not only was it a good story, with good acting, the cinematography was breathtaking.
Jeremiah before becoming a legend, is a drifter, a loner, running away from something. What that is I am not exactly sure (if he were with me, he would have never left). Well, back to reality, Jeremiah "adopts" a family, a boy whose family is wiped out, and an Flathead Indian Squaw who is given to him as a gift for carrying scalps of their enemies.
Beautifully acted and wonderfully filmed, this movie is for all to see.
This movie, although a western, is enjoyable for men, women, and children.
