It's a head-scratcher, all right (Reply to this comment)

After reading that this was one of the most controversial films of all time, I got it on DVD @ 3 years ago. I've viewed it a few times and each time I scratch my head. Yeah, I've read the reviews (including your excellent one)--memory, perceptions, vat es time? yada yada--and I still scratch my head. My dreams/mindstates are more like the fruitless running around done in L'Avventura than the silent, deliberate steps down the exquisite corridors of LYAM.
Oh, yeah, the game played in LYAM was the ancient game of Nim.
Since the movie is subtitled, I keep meaning to watch it with Dixieland jazz instead of the creepy organ score and see if it plays differently.
And the big question surrounding this movie ought to be about Seyrig's heavy-handed eyeshadow: what color was it?
