My impression of this movie lies in two words: dry spell. This movie reminds me of Rocky V. Why? Because it's another example of film makers taking a character and placing him in too many movies. The movie starts out alright, kinda slow, but still alright. Then, there is a little action and a good peek at the world of Mad Max, followed by some outright stupid scenes, and then a big nap. The nap lasts for about twenty minutes, and then it gets interesting...ending much the same as The Road Warrior did (with a big chase).
Here would be the slow start: you see a drifter who happens to be Max being robbed by a guy with an airplane. The guy swoops down and knocks him off of his camel pulled wagon then leaves the plane with his son and jumps out taking the wagon. Here it gets alright: Max tracks him to Barter town, but there is one problem. He can only enter if he has something to trade. After persuading the guards that they don't won't to try to take him away, he gets in on the condition that he is to interview for a task. The task is that he has to kill some little guy's servant who happens to carry little guy around and protect him. There's some good action in the fight there, but after some odd twist at the end of the fight Max is banished from barter town.
This is where it absolutely gets slow. He is saved from the middle of the desert and brought to a community made up of children. Not only did this lack entertainment, but the children played annoying roles. These kids win the competition for the most annoying sound in the world! Some other stuff happens in the movie, but it's not any different from the first two.
