dewda's Full Review: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
This has to be one of the funniest movies I have ever watched. Like many who have written a review of this, Christmas Vacation is a tradition in my family as well.
Every year we have a different line we quote from the movie. This year it's a line from uncle Louis. After Clark and cousin Eddie discover the cat electrocuted under the chair, uncle Louis looks over and asks "What is it?" in that funny voice of his. The first time I watched the movie I didn't think they would introduce even more hilarity after cousin Eddie and family. But they did. Aunt Bethany with uncle Louis. "Clark is your house on fire?" Bethany asks Clark referring to lights covering the entire exterior of the house.
One of my favorite scenes with cousin Eddie is when Snots, cousin Eddie's rottweiler pet dog, is drinking the water from the tree and Clark tells him to stop. Cousin Eddie shews the dog away, telling him to "go on in the kitchen, get's you sometin to eat. Just about every scene is this movie is a side splitter.
Then why is the floor all wet Todd?, I don't know Margo. These are the yuppie neighbors of the Griswolds. Every scene, every character is hilarious.
Edit: It's that time of year again. Let's hear that drum roll.
