Dream Warriors: The first high budget nightmare

Pros:high budget horror and good gore
Cons:Freddy's not quite as scary as he should have been
The Bottom Line: the horror aspect of Freddy begins to decline from this point on but the Nightmare series continues to entertain.
Nightmare 3: Dream Warriors is about the infamous dream slasher, Freddy and his pursuit of wiping out the last of the Elm Street children. Nancy (the heroine of the first Nightmare, played again by Heather Langenkamp) comes to a mental hospital to help a handful of teenagers who have been committed for apparent suicide attempts. Little do the doctors realize that their wounds are not self-inflicted.
After Nancy reveals the nature of the patient's common assailant, Freddy, they bind together and try to overthrow the dark power he has. Using their own dream talents they face him in the dream while Nancy's father helps in the real world to uncover Freddy's remains and bury him in hallowed ground. Only then will his soul be at peace.
This is the first film where Freddy has an unparalleled sense of humour. There is gore though. Some would argue that this is the best Nightmare next to the first one. It's definitely worth a watch.
