Roger Waters' disturbing masterpiece

Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS
When asked to describe this movie, all of my friends had the same response. Disturbing. This movie is a violent and sexual retelling of the greatest concept album to date, The Wall.
It tells the story of Pink, whose father died when he was young during WWII. The story of Pink is very loosely based on Roger Waters' life, with other parts added on. It starts with Pink in a hotel room reminiscing about his past, and it goes through Pinks life showing his sorrow over the loss of his father and his experimentations with drugs and sex. Pink has a nervous breakdown, and becomes very similar to Hitler, the man responsible for his fathers death, and in the end, Pink realizes what he has become and puts himself on trial.
The story is told with very little dialogue, but is done very well through the music. What is going on depends on what is playing, and everything blends perfectly, including the animation. Roger Waters is expressing his view on the walls human beings put up to protect ourselves from the outside world. The idea for this was sparked when a fan climbed up on stage during a Pink Floyd concert, and Waters spit on his face. He felt there was a wall between himself and his fans, and that's how everything started.
The DVD edition has many additions, and I strongly suggest getting it, it is worth the $10 more you will have to pay. Overall this is an excellent story, with some of the best music for the soundtrack. The new scene is pretty cool, but I agree with the decision to cut that seen out, because it adds nothing to the story, and might confuse people more. The music videos that were added are pretty cool as well, but there is one thing that keeps bugging me, sometimes music from Wish You Were Here will start playing, which should not have been put on.
