a really fine review of one of my favorite classic movies. However, you refer to Judith Anderson's role as that of a servant devoted to her former master -- the object of her devotion was the deceased Mrs. DeWinter. And, with not-too-much imagination, one can infer a bit more than "devotion" in the feelings she had for her late mistress.
