I just had to join in on the degrees of Michael Douglas movie review write off mostly because I really like Michael Douglas, but also because the write off sponsor daddym is such a nice guy. And If you have seen several Michael Douglas movies or movies that have actors in them that have ties to Michael Douglas movies why not join us in this fun and easy write off for more information go to: http://www.epinions.com/user-daddym and look towards the lower half of the page.

Joan Wilder (Kathleen Turner) is a romance novelist. She writes of passionate, romantic adventures but her own life is less than exciting. That is until she receives a delivery. The delivery contains a map, the map had originally been addressed to her dead brother in law and had been forwarded to her. Things become more interesting when she finds out that her sister has been kidnapped. The kidnappers want the map and will kill her sister if they do not get it. She will need to go to South America (Columbia) in order to deliver the map.

After a series of bumbling antics Joan happens to meet Jack T. Colton (Douglas) a fortune hunter with a seemingly good knowledge of the area. Who just happened to have saved her life. She decides to hire Colton as her tour guide. He does not really want to do this but she is offering to pay so why not?

Unfortunately the map is quite valuable and there are people who want to get their hands on it, especially Zolo (Manuel Ojeda), alternatively the Minister of Antiquities and the Chief of Secret Police.

Jack and Joan are engaged in a cat and mouse game with the bad guys and Joan may just have a bit more to worry about because Jack is fighting with the urge to get the map for himself. Of course I have to mention as well that Jack and Joan are attracted to one another and Joan just might find the romance her life has been missing. Or she may be in for heart ache and deception. If you want to find out which watch the movie.

Douglas and Turner were meant to be on screen together. They both have a wonderful passion and they work well together and look good together as well.

The movie is full of action and suspense, there are a lot of situations that Joan and Jack get into that involve lots of chase scenes and some fighting and some just plain rotten situations to get out of. The movie is similar to Harrison Fords Indiana Jones movies, it is the same type of adventure movie. Thought the movie is full of adventure and misfortune it also contains some funny moments, and of course there is romance.

This movie has a little something for everyone. It has the romance that women love to watch and it has the action that makes men happy. And while it keeps you on the edge of your seat it also keeps you in a good mood with its occasional humorous moments. Though there is some fighting and some language and sexual suggestion for the most part this movie would be ok for most kids to watch provided their parents are supervising.

This is a highly adventurous and romantic movie, and I think that it is very good and would recommend it to almost anyone.

Thanks daddym for sponsoring this very easy and fun write off.
