In this peaceful, beautiful valley, the Civil War is unreal to the family that lives there. They carry on with their normal everday life. as the war goes on all around them.

James Stewart stars as the patriarch of the family. He is a Virginia farmer during the Civil War. He refuses to acknowledge that the war is going on. He manages to keep his sons down on the farm.

Then one day the war invades their lives. The youngest son is taken prisoner by the Union army. He sets out in search of his son and sees first hand the horror of war. Now he must take a stand.

Shenandoah is a must see movie for everyone. The action is great.

So run to your nearest video store and rent Shenandoah.
