This is the film that put the Arnold on the map. This is a well-written film with some pretty decent acting. The cold, calculating manner of Schwarzenegger is something that shouldn't be missed. The plot is pretty simple: A cyborg is sent back in time to the year 1984 to kill Sarah Conner, a women whose unborn son, John Conner, will lead human soldiers in a war against the cyborgs for control of the earth, in the not to distant future. Enter Kyle Reese who is sent back in time to protect Sarah Conner from the evil cyborg.

This movie is high on action and drama. This movie is a sci-fi classic and put a lot of people on the map(James Cameron and Stan Winston). "The Terminator" has become sort of a sci-fi standard. This is a classic that no one should miss.
