Thanks, Dana, for your compliment and for planning the write-off. Do see the movie - it is enjoyable, no matter what that rascal Malone said. ;-)

Thanks, Nick. As I said in an earlier note, too many really talented reviewers had taken their shot on this one.
The baseball bat scene is incredible, isn't it? I worried at first that we were about to see Scarface II, but the movie righted itself.
Funny story - I was at a meeting with my company's managers two months ago and the President started pacing the room, talking about inter-departmental cooperation, and oh yeah, teamwork. The baseball bat scene stayed in my head the entire time. Afterwards, he denied having seen the movie. Oh, did I mention it was during our lunch break?

Robert, I had to find a different device. Some of the best movie reviewers on this site had already reviewed the movie, and their stuff was brilliant. The problem was that I got stuck on the idea of this being my write-off piece. So, Jim Malone speaks.
I appreciate your kind words!

...and original point of view of this original piece. Very well done.
The scene from this movie that I'll never forget is the baseball bat scene at the Capone dinner table.
Bravo...excellent.

Great Review (Reply to this comment)

You put a different type of a twist on a review, making it more than a "I Loved It" -- "I Hated It" period.

I love this movie - except for one part involving Sean Connery.
