I really love this movie. No matter how many times I see it. The music is incredible, as well as the costumes and photography. The scenery is breathtaking. Barbra Streisand for all her many listed faults spends most of the camera's time on the beautiful Amy Irving, who gives an exceptional performance as Haddas. Mandy Patinkin plays Avigdor with such amazing depth and emotion, and Barbra's portrayal of Yentl is absolutely incredible. This movie is emotional and incredible. Watch it with a hanky because you will need it. Barbra should have won the best director Oscar for this one. Pity the Academy.
