Pros:Outstanding acting and storyline, our amiable puppets are back...this time as the good guys!
Cons:Honestly I can't think of one.
The Bottom Line: The acting is superb! The script is amazing! One of the top Full Moon films of all time.
The best film so far in the ongoing Puppet Master series, Puppet Master III brings us back to Nazi Germany.
Andre Toulon, played masterfully by Guy Rolfe is a puppeteer who has discovered a way to bring inanimate objects to life. This interests the Nazis on a military purpose so they decide to capture Andre and his puppets to make him work for them. Andre resists so in retribution the evil Major Kraus (Richard Lynch) kills his wife Elsa (Sarah Douglas of Superman). A normally calm man, Toulon is pushed to his limits and asks his puppets for help in seeking revenge against this evil man and all who have been a part of this.
This is finally the film everyone really wanted to see the puppets in. We all rooted for the puppets in the previous films, it was about time they made the puppets the heroes. Blade and his gang are back, along with Six-Shooter. Together they fight Nazi Germany to avenge the Puppet Master.
Lynch (Major Kraus), an actor that has been in other Full Moon pictures is one of those men you love to hate. He plays the perfect evil Nazi. They picked the perfect person to model the puppet Blade from. They look so similar (without the skull face of course)!
It is really fun throughout the film to see the origins of each puppet that has been made by Toulon. Each puppet has it's own individuality and the film really showcases this.
The sets are phenomenal. Nazi Germany looks great! Such a lavish design, great costumes, everything is dressed up beautifully. Full Moon has gone to impressive lengths on this picture.
Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge has the best cast of any Puppet Master film, and one of the best stories ever told by Full Moon. Why can't they always have films of this quality? This is the pinnacle of the Puppet Master films. If you only see one, make it this one.
