This movie is great for any age and tells a story of true friendship and a journey for Chantacleer (the rooster), one of the main characters to regain his crow and his pride. The other main character is a little boy, Edmund, who owns a farm that is dealing with bad rain weather and having problems dealing with the situation. The little boy is sick and his mother decides to read him a story about Chantacleer, the story starts out on a day that the sun doesn't come up and everyone looses faith in Chantacleer, the rooster. Then Edmund sick and asleep imagines himself in the story as a cartoon cat.
So Chantacleer leaves the farm and decides to take up a job in singing, which he ends up being a huge success. When his friends back at the farm discover that the mean Owl is out to get them and to mark sure the sun never comes up again, they set out on an adventure to find Chantacleer and bring him back to the farm.
On their adventure to convenience Chantacleer to come back they face the dreaded Owl and Chantacleer's New boss, who both don't want Chantacleer to go back to the farm. The new boss hires a pretty chic to side track Chantacleer so that he will forget about going back to the farm and not find his friends.
Although they face many hard times they eventually meet up with Chantacleer and discover that they are running out of time and get back to the farm to find the Owl has totally taken over the farm and the other critters. At the last second, While you have to watch the movie to find out the ending but this is a great movie for all ages.
