Great Review...Beauty and the Beast is easily my favorite of the "modern" Disney movies, and one of the few ones that really stands up over time. Thanks for your insight--makes me want to go watch it again!

There is something very special about this one. It really is one of my favorites. Maybe your daughter will still like these movies as she gets older - the better ones anyway. :)

I do have more hope for Disney since Eisner isn't in control anymore. He has made some incredibly stupid decisions in the last several years.

I'm not as big a fan of animation in general as you are - I love this movie. It's one that I'm always trying to get the kids to pick when they want to watch something! I'm hoping mininocket doesn't outgrow her Disney phase too quickly.....

I dont think that Disney will ever live up to thier past again (Maybe pixar will take em' to the next level.. if Steve Jobs permits :)
Movies like The Lion King and Beauty and The Beast, just eclipse all other good animation movies. It does that because it blended storytelling and musicals, while still being funny.
These movies are so good that they make you forget that your not watching a live action film but an animated one. That is a special and difficult thing to accomplish.

I didn't think he looked that bad once he changed back. Just was use to him as the beast by that point.
