I love this movie - well I love anything with Charlie Sheen (and Michael Madsen). This is the best movie - in my opinion - in portraying what 1% motorcycle gangs are really like.

My biggest problem with this movie is that in real life, Dan/Charlie never would have risen so quickly in the gang - to the point where he was offered the (I think) position of vice president. First he would have had to “patch over”. Secondly, most bikers are not near as handsome, or clean shaven, as Michael Madsen.

Many of the things rang true in the film - the part where Dan/Charlie’s “colors” were initiated - it can be much worse than what the film showed. Secondly the biker wedding can get a lot more, shall we say, “adult” than in the film.

Thirdly, there’s no way a non-club member would be riding up near the front of the bike run. From front to back it’s club officers, club members, other club patchholders, hang arounds, and then women. (My ex-husband rode with the Vietnam Vets M.C. and that was the order of the rides - which ticked me off because I was always in the back - yes I have my own bike).

The real Dan Saxon is in the film as an extra. I believe he is in the beginning in the squad room before Charlie goes undercover.

I also like the “goof” where Dan and Renee are making out at her house and the fall on the floor knocking over the lamp. You can see a hand/arm reach out to grab the lamp. It’s quick, but it’s there. Also on the bike run, you can see one of the women on the back of one of the bikes lift her top.

The music does really add to the movie. I like the end song, “Broken Arrow” that is played as Charlie is literally walking away from the biker life, dropping his biker stuff along the way. Virgil’s voiceover tells what the real Dan did/is doing now.
