Disappointing, fake, and does not belong in the Beverly Hills Cop series. This movie felt like an episode of The Fresh Prince Cop of Beverly Hills. I expected an action movie, but nothing was taken seriously.
The Disappointment
This movie did not live up to the first two of the series. The first action in Detroit was normal, but everything else seemed so unreal. The action was made to be funny unlike the first two, and the characters did not act at all. A play from a junior high school would have better acting than whatever this was.
The main setting is in a theme park, and that is where the worst of it was. It kinda seemed like people went out and just started film Eddie doing stupid stuff at an amusement park. The quality of acting was to a level of stupidity that would have worked if I wanted to see Monty Python and not an action movie.
Entertainment value
Don't get me wrong this thing does have some cheap laughs, but that is what screwed up this movie. Nothing is serious, so you cannot identify with anything going on or appreciate it. I found myself periodically stopping to see what is on television. As far as action, it is about the level as a bad tv cop show.
