When a Man Loves a Woman (1994 - rated R - 126 mins)--Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan

This is not cutsey Meg Ryan movie, it is very sad. Set in San Francisco, she is a guidance counselor, wife, mother and alcoholic. I guess they thought the wife being the alcoholic would be a new twist?


I personally felt the chemistry between the two leads fluctuated, sometimes it clicked sometimes not, but that could have been intentional. Most of the supporting cast didn't really do anything spectacular. Since the leads didn't click and the other cast didn't really do anything it was hard to get into the movie or have any real feeling about anyone in the movie for me. The story was a little bit predictable too.

If you really want to see a drama/tear jerker you might want to check this out.
