Pros: Clive Turner
Cons: Clive Turner
This movie owes everything to one man: Clive Turner. In addition to starring in the film, writing, producing, and directing, the multi-talented Turner took on the daunting tasks of film editor and accountant (he's a CPA, according to the credits).
This installment gives us yet another story about those crazy werewolves, who are this time terrorizing Pioneer Town, which is apparently California's version of Boone County, WV. The good folks of Pioneer Town all play themselves, and they do it with an unnatural stiffness usually reserved for only the finest porno movies. The disclaimer at the end of the movie warns: "The events depicted in this film are fictional. The people of Pioneer Town are real." It would almost be less scary the other way around.
And don't worry if you haven't seen the previous Howling movies--you get to see clips from most of them here as the story unfolds. All in all, this movie is so bad that it's almost surreal, so it could be worth watching with a group in the mood for some Mystery Science Theater-style heckling.
And we've got Clive Turner to thank.
