This movie is a real yawner, which is unusual for an Errol Flynn vehicle. It is basically along the lines of "Casablanca", but lacking the intrigue, romance, and charm of that film. Aging Flynn does a creditable job as diamond smuggler Jim Brennan, but Cornell Borchers as his lady love does not make the grade. Perhaps that is why I have never heard of her again in films!
The sole reason to watch this movie is Nat King Cole, who plays the club's piano man. Nat does a beautiful rendition of "When I Fall in Love", a la Sam, in "Casablanca".
Unless you are a diehard Flynn fan, miss this one! Or watch it, just to see Nat at the height of his powers.
