Move over arnie and predator, make way for Iria and Zeraim. Iria: Zeraim the Animation is an excellent example of anime. While it is not the best among a crowded genre, it's uniqueness is enough to satisfy. Though driven by a "done" story it presents it in a new way, from a woman's perspective. No hulking main overly testosteroned hero here people, Iria is lethally lovely and set on revenge. Predator is no comparison to zeraim, a walking organic nightmare seemingly unstoppable.

The plot centers around Iria, an apprentice, and-soon-to-be bounty hunter as she sets out for revenge for the death of her brother caused by the evil immortal monster, Zeraim. Along the way she is helped by several friends including the "body impaired" Bob who after being killed by Zeraim comes along on the quest as an advanced computer.

This dvd is set over 6 episodes of pure action, witty comments, and amazing animation. If you're into action sci fi with mild violence and
pg-13 language this is for you. If you're turned off by the "vengence for the death of a friend/family member against some impossible enemy" you will be bored.
