=Plot=
When Margret "Legs" Sadovsky moves into town, she helps four teenage girls who have been sexually harassed by their teacher get revenge on him. The girls consist of Madeline "Maddie" Wirtz, Rita Faldes, Goldie Goldman (what an unusual name, huh?) and Violet Kahn. Legs is the strong rebellious girl who doesn't take any mess from anyone, Maddie is the artistic one who loves to take pictures and draw funny or amusing things on them, Rita is the shy one who is always picked on, Goldie is the oriental one who is also a dope head and Violet is the one that sleeps with everyone. Together they form a little group in an abandoned home in the woods and calls themselves "Foxfire". Legs give them all a tattoo of flames and tells them she'll be with them no matter what. When the jocks of the school learn that the five girls beat up on their teacher (who is also the coach), they want revenge on the girls for what they've done.
=Actors/Actresses=
Angelina Jolie is simply brilliant in this movie as Legs. She really shows her talent as she guides the others from being helpless girls to becoming strong women. She delivers her lines with accuracy and makes you feel for her character and she also is amazing in the way her body moves and conveys emotion. Maddie is played by Hedy Burress and as the artistic girl, I think her acting needed a little work. She wasn't exactly convincing and I didn't feel any kind of emotion for her character at all. Jenny Lewis plays Rita and she was cute as she acted out the part of the shy girl. She had me believing she was actually timid and weak and I like the way she performed in this movie because it was so realistic. Jenny Shimizu plays Goldie and she is funny as well as kind of dumb in the movie. I mean, she almost caught the school on fire because she wanted a joint. I did laugh at her more than once and I give her credit for that, but I also think her character was kind of stupid and I didn't like that. Sarah Rosenberg is Violet and as the one at the school who everyone has been with, she's amazing. Her acting was great and the way she carried herself even though everyone thought she was kind of a prostitute made me proud of her.
=My Opinion=
In my opinion, this movie is one all girls should see. Especially girls who have self confidence issues. I could relate to all of the characters (except Maddie) and I felt for each of them. The plot was one that was awesome as it told a story that could actually happen in real life. Angelina Jolie's performance was one I won't ever forget and the way the director tried to build a relationship between Legs and Maddie threw me off a little, but made the movie more interesting. All around, I think this movie is one I can cherish for years to come.
