This film is action packed. The fans love it, so does everyone else.
The ancient name "enterprise" rips through space and time to save the entire universe from the borg. The enterprise crew travel through time, and space following the evil borg. The borg are trying to destroy earth in a time when earth was powerless to stop the borg. After world war 3, the whole planet was very poor, and primitive again. Humans were defenseless against the advanced borg. The enterprise stops the borg from destroying everything, but they do a lot of damage before the crew save the day. The Unknowing crew of the enterprise are then boarded by the borg. Meanwhile commander Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) is on earth with the chief engineer Jordie,(Levar Burton) trying to fix the damage that the borg caused. The crew then try to resist the borg fatally. The crew eventually manage to get the auto destruct on but with many casualties as the cost. This is an attempt to destroy the borg while they are distracted. All the crew except captain Picard, (Patrick Stewert) leave on escape pods for early earth. Just when you think they have saved the day, Data, (Brent Spiner) is kidnapped by the borg and assimilated. He resists with the help of the captain and pulls through just as he is about to destroy the ship that starts the whole federation.
The story is great and very hard to explain to someone that hasn’t seen it, so please humor me because I’ve had a go but your still probably none the wiser. Leave me some comments as to what you think.
You may need a bit of background information if you want to understand everything, but it's a good watch whether you are familiar with the Star Trek universe or not.
The special effects are gripping and if you happen to have surround sound it's even better. It feels as if you have spaceships and torpedoes flying past left, right and center.
You can only appreciate this film when you watch it. So if you can, do!
