The whole series stinks! (Reply to this comment)

I never thought Tim Burton did all that great a job with the franchise either.

Anybody could play Batman, but... (Reply to this comment)

Only Michael Keaton could play Bruce Wayne (according to Siskel and Ebert). I remember when the TV series came out in the 60s. I never thought they could possibly do worse than that. I was wrong.

Hollywood Kills Batman (Reply to this comment)

I agree 100% though I would have given this movie an even lower rating. The Bat-franchise was destroyed... brutally and utterly. I hope the upcoming Batman Beyond live action movie is done properly and with respect.
Excellent analysis and great review.

You should see BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM... (Reply to this comment)
by ebrown2
if you haven't done so already. It's far better acted and more adult than any of the -live-action- sequels. The Warner Animation Department ironically has more respect for the Batman character than the suits. :(

Batman & Robin (Reply to this comment)

Excellent review...and I couldn't agree more. It's just sad to see how director Joel Schumacher has managed to forever tarnish the Batman legacy with this dreadful energy.
I especially enjoyed a hearty laugh at your keen observations of how Schumacher tries to be overly flashy with the settings and special effects at the cost of real substance.
Great job amigo, amd keep up the excellent reviews.
