Cons:Joey Lauren Adams' voice :-)
The Bottom Line: Recommended, good for its plot, story and acting.
Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
The film explores sexuality, love, and friendship in a very unique and somewhat twisted kind of way.
The very thing that makes the movie so interesting is the story, written by Kevin Smith, one of the new generation directors, that caracterizes themselves because they also write their stories in this new cool way. There was no predictable pitfalls in it, which manages to make you never getting bored throughout the film without being unreal, all this surrounding a classic love story, once again without falling into cliches. The characters are very well elaborated, making you feel like you actually met them, which makes the movie more pleasant and interesting.
The acting is excellent, in fact, for me, this is the best movie for Ben Affleck. Joey Lauren Adams does a great job as the gay woman. But you should check out Jason Lee's performance, i'm sure he will be one of the most recognized actors in a few years.
The bottom line is a good movie, not the best one you will see in your life but you will finish seeing it with a smile in your face and some final messages in your head that will make you think for some days, specially regarding sexuality.
Very cool work from Kevin Smith which is a fresh breeze among all the Hollywood reclycled garbage we are seeing everyday.
