Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
Harrison Ford has created quite a persona for himself. He normally plays the dedicated male, who is willing to fight for what he believes in, and normally it is always the moral thing to do. Plus for once our President of the United States isn’t seen as some corrupt individual on an insane power trip. This President is a fighter.
Somehow (although it seemed like it was easily accomplished) a group of terrorists have hijacked Air Force One with plans to use the President as ransom to accomplish their goals. The actions beings early in the film and doesn’t stop for one moment until the climatic ending. There are gun shots, escape pods, fighter planes shooting at each other, and explosions galore. Of course no Harrison Ford movie would be complete without some hand to hand fighting, and once again he doesn’t disappoint. In fact, this movie contains all the qualities we love about Harrison Ford, even down to where he uses common objects and some quick thinking to find ways to making it harder for the terrorists to accomplish their objectives.
All of this action, however doesn’t come without the expensive of several lives. Be prepared for lots of people being shot, blood flying everywhere, and a few extremely graphic scenes.
The special effects in this movie are also top notch, although the ending could have been much better. Not to give it away, but the effect at the end looked extremely fake and looked like it was made by a first year computer graphic artist.
Overall, this movie is spectacular. The action, the suspense, battle sequences, and even the acting are top notch. This movie will definitely go down as one of my favorite action movies.
