Actually, the thing they found is the control mechanism control mechanism.
all the MONSTERS have these alien control mechanisms. And this is the control mechanism to control them.
I think I did that intentionally, anyway.

I just wanted to point out to you the phrase repetition found here in a quoted paragraph from your review:
It wasn't a bomb, but I couldn't tell. It was the alien control mechanism control mechanism, and now the MONSTERS are marching upon the Mt. Fuji Kilaak base.
Then again, I'm sure it's obvious, so I won't point it out.
I've always liked the cheesy monster movies, and one that's less cheesy sounds even better. I'll be sure to rent this sometime, if I can find it anywhere.
