Home Alone 3 is a well directed, and exciting movie, but in my opinion it doesn't nearly compare to the first two of the series. The plot is weaker and the topic of "Home Alone" is losing its attractiveness to viewers. Also the characters in the first two films, fit their parts excellently, and to change the characters separates the movie from the first two.
I have seen this movie twice now, mainly because there was nothing else to watch, but I must admit I did enjoy it, mainly due to the fact that it is an exciting and simple movie that does not require intense concentration from the viewer.
It is an easy to watch and fun movie that I would recommend to anyone who wants to sit down and relax. It is nothing special and the viewer does not get anything out of it. It is rated PG and I think that it can really be watched by anyone, as it contains no serious violence and it could absolutely not offend anyone. Yet, for someone who has seen none of the movies in the Home Alone series I would definitely recommend the first two more than this one. The first two in my opinion are almost regarded as classic movies that have to be seen, and this one is definitely not a classic.
