I saw this film on opening night in December of 1997, and I still remember seeing that SHIP on the big screen. Wow.

It's not the BEST Titanic movie in some respects, but as far as cinematic daring and sheer determination to get it done, Cameron really was "king of the world!"

this film also, even though I agree with you it's overhyped. It's a nice thing that some people like Cameron are willing to push the envelope.
