My eyes are red, and it is hard for me to type this. I'm a typical, spoiled American. I'm 23, and often complain when I have to live check to check. I've been given the opportunity graduate from college with the help of our government. But enough about me, I just watched Saving Private Ryan and I found that it was a wake up call on my outlook on life. I'm so lucky to have the life that so many Americans have upheld in the past. Given their God forsaken life to live, just to uphold the American Dream. To stand up for the rights that we take advantage of day by day. Just to see that the injustice to others, will be no more. Saving Private Ryan was a movie that made me want to see my Grandfather right now, at 12:09 in the morning and thank him for the sacrifice he made for our country. We are in a time right now were the Cold War is no more. The threat of nuclear weapons has greatly reduced the chance of there ever being another World War. I thank God for all of those who have spilled there blood for America. As Tom Hanks put it, when he was making his stand on the bridge. Earn this. As Americans we need to take advantage of the freedom laid down before us. To live life to the fullest, and not feel pity on ourselves over minor things. This was a great movie.
