for this review. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to find someone who can even recognize Robin's sickening schmaltz, let alone despise it as much as I do. Excellent work.

Try showing it to some kids who have actually suffered through cancer treatment and see if they think Patch Adams' medical techniques are "wacky" or "funny". Just the worst.
have you showed this movie to kids who have cancer? what did they say?

This was too hilarious! I have never seen this movie nor do I have a desire to view it. Robin Williams better make up his mind on what direction he wants to take. I still remember watching him in the live action movie Popeye (call me crazy but I actually liked it).

I love it when someone completely trashes a bad movie beloved by so many (Patch was a huge box office hit). Lay the smackdown on this tripe! You usually pay for these things with a few cowardly (and undeserving) NR's but you gotta let the truth out.

I don't think we saw the same movie. I did not think it was the greatest movie I ever saw, but, not nearly as terrible as you make it sound. First of all, if you were paying attention, we did know why he committed himself...his depression came from losing his wife and child in an accident. Secondly, it was a true story, so how much license can they take with the truth. I know they can take a lot, but surely not that much.
