Baby Songs is an adorable video for small children. While it is called Baby Songs, it is really good for toddlers and children a bit older, and has lots of toddlers and preschoolers in the video. My son still watches it at age 5.
The songs deal with things familiar to your children. "My mommy comes back" was a great one when my son was dealing with separation anxiety; I just reminded him of the song and sang it to him. Now he sings it to his baby brother if he cries when I leave.
Another good song is "Security". If your child has a security blanket, he or she will love this song. It shows a child who takes that blanket everywhere and it eventually has to be washed. Other issues are toilet training and getting rid of diapers, sharing, and sleeping. Most of the songs are all showing live action with kids, with only 1 or 2 songs having any animation.
The songs are catchy and memorable. It comes with a lyric book (at least mine did, I don't know if it's still offered).
My son started watching this when he was 18 months, and at 5 still puts it on occasionally, although he claims it's for his 1 year old brother.
Another good video in this series was Baby Rock, which took old rock and roll songs like Wooly Bully and Locomotion and showed children playing and dancing.
However, I tried a few of the other Baby Songs videos and found these disappointing in that they were videos of adults singing the songs instead of these really cute shots of children. My son did not like those at all.
