Warner Brothers film "Home Fries" staring Drew Barrymore and Luke Wilson is a semi decent movie with an edge of comedy and a hint of romance. This movie is about a family who is, well, psycho. About an adulterer father, psycho mother who wants revenge, and their two children who are going to help mommy dearest get their revenge on their father. Since the Boys are both in the military, they have access to a helicopter, which they use to scare the living daylights out of dad. To their supprise, they actually kill their father. Woops! They soon come to find out that they can find the mistress, and plan to integrate one of them into her job atmosphere. At a fast food place of course! Dorian (Wilson) is picked to get the job and "take care" of the mistress. (Ya, like they took care of their dad!) But wait a moment, what's this?....The mistress (Barrymore) is pregnant! Dorian slowly falls in love and even takes her to lamaze class, but mommy dearest wants her dead! So brother number two tries to kill Dorians new love. Dun Dun Dun...you will have to see the movie to see what happens.
This movie is really cute, but not directed or written in a way that it would be a multibillion dollar movie. This movie didn't last in theaters for very long, and it kinda shows why. I must say though, every Drew Barrymore movie that I have seen, I have liked. Drew Barrymore did a good job in this movie, as always! As far as Luke Wilson, he was SO adorable! This movie would have been SO much better if only it was written and directed differently.
If you like movies starring Drew Barrymore, then you will LOVE "Never Been Kissed", and "Ever After". If you like Luke Wilson, then check him out on an episode of the X-Files. He was a Sheriff of a small town that was full of Vampyres!
This movie is geared more for the teenagers (mainly girls), but some Gen X ers may be entertained by it.
