I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, but overall I found it to be somewhat funny. I am not going to sit here and tell you that this was the best movie I had ever seen because it wasn't. But it did have some good parts in it.
The plot was kinda stupid and it didn't make much sense. It was about these two brother named Doug and Steve Butabi who wanted their own night club. They figured they could never get their own night club if they couldn't get into the Roxbury. That's basically what the whole movie is about, them trying to get into the Roxbury and be noticed.
As you would have guessed, they do get into the Roxbury and they do get their own club. Their idea for this club was for the club to be outside, and the inside of the club to be the outside. So the outside is the inside and the inside is the outside. Make sense? Yessss! Nooooo!
Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell star in this movie along with some of their other SNL buddies, Molly Shannon and Colin Quinn. Other members of the cast include Loni Anderson and Richard Grieco.
I think Kattan and Ferrell did a good job in this movie considering that it was probably hard for them to do 81 minutes worth of film, when they are used 2 or 3 minutes.
I love Saturday Night Live and most of the movies based on the show. But this one is just not one of their best hits. So if you don't like SNL, you probably won't like this movie. It tends to be a little corny at some points.
I would not recommend this movie for younger children based on the sexual content. However, it's not really that bad.
