Children with disabilities. When this movie came out, I wanted to take my oldest daughter to the theater to see. A friend of hers and her mother had already seen the film and the girl had told my daughter how dumb it was. I couldn't get her to budge to go see it on the big screen. When it was released on video, I snatched it up and watched it with both of my daughters who are mentally challenged. I really think that it was a bit difficult for them to watch since they could relate to it so much more than the average person. You know, this is what they live, not a picture show. It was good for them to both watch even though difficult at times. It was an eye opening movie that shows more about how abled the disabled can be if only they are given the support.
I agree, it didn't get near enough publicity.

I agree, this movie is one of my favorites. But then again, I rarely agree with the paid "critics" about which movies are worth seeing.

I saw this movie about a year ago, and was amazed that it didn't get more credit! What talented young people! Juliette Lewis and Giovani were outstanding! This movie offers a very important message about the mentally challenged in this world and deserved more attention!!
