OK, lets look at the facts here. This was rated by 1058 people. About 25 people put down 1-3 stars. The other 1033 people gave The Matrix the respect it deserves. Worst Movie Ever? Whatever. Its the BEST movie ever.

uh, ok 1st, I sincerely hope you were kidding when you said you were an expert on this sort of movie because, im sorry to say, YOU ARE NOT!
ok, now 2nd, where did you come from saying it was like sea quest?!?!?!?!? have you ever seen the shoe sea quest? since im asking questions, have you ever seen 'the matrix'? I'd just like to let you know that i think perhaps you should actually put some thought into your opinions....peace

One question comes to mind: How in the world is the Matrix like SeaQuest?
I respect the author's view about the movie, but he/she didn't convince me why the movie is terrible! If the movie is bad, why?

Matrix Groupie? WTF? I don't like to use this word but Whatever I didn't give it a NR, cause I liked the movie a lot. I gave it a NR, cause I thought his review on it sucked, and whoever gave him a HR, that's sad, even if you agree with his opinion, you can definitly see that he needs to get more out of school or go back to grade school. Stoners? That in a singl, deserves a NR. Well, that's my thoughts, goodnight.

The Matrix was a great show. I don't think that you were awake! The matrix is one of the best movies made. There was a lot of action, so I don't see where you are coming from.

For some reason I seem to understand that someone was expecting an action movie instead of a Science Fiction movie. The plot for The Matrix is not meant to be any other action packed movie, but rather a technological/action movie.

The Matrix was not about the meaning of existence. It put up some show of being profound and philosophical, but what it's really about is shooting people.

Maybe you should watch this movie again...it's a very "heady" movie..not just a special effects flick.
This would be a great flick to show in a philosphy class. If you've never taken a philosophy class, or wondered about your own existence, then you won't fully appreciate the Matrix.

You Matrix groupies get really personal when somebody suggests that the film sucks. The movie has no substance, just a bunch of kick-ass FX. But story? Characters? By the end, even the FX are so nauseating they've become a con. I agree entirely with BigLetdown. Except I think that saying the script was penned by teenage stoners is an insult to teenage stoners everywhere.

haha, well, you're probably the only one that feels that way, and NO, I did NOT rate it NR because I liked the movie, but rather you presented a lot of irrelevant information, and almost all information on the actual movie sounds like it came from an old lady talking about Goldeneye N64 being too bloody (Goldeneye for N64 has no blood). Also, noone can justify The Matrix being "absolutely the worst movie" because everyone knows there are about a hundred million movies out there that are 40 times worse than the Matrix, like the types of movies you like. Also you contradicted yourself in your review, stating it has NO pros, then you go on in your review saying that only the special effects are good, then why wasn't special effects in your pros?? Go back and watch your Dawson's Creek or 7th Heaven. You obviously can't write reviews since none of your "entire collection" of THREE reviews got rated over "Somewhat Recommended" which is 2nd to last by the way.
