I actually took my daughter to see this movie in the theater three times. The first time was for her, and little did I know I would've enjoyed it as much as she did!
The animation was wonderful as usual, coming from Disney. Kids love animals by nature--at least all the kids that I know. The animals interaction in the jungle. The relationship between Mom gorilla and Tarzan is especially appealing to kids because they can relate to it. It makes an important point to kids that people (or any creatures) don't have to look alike to understand and love one another.
The action in the movie is also terrific! Kids and adults would enjoy jumping from tree to tree along with Tarzan! There are, however, some uses of guns and mild violence that might be scary to some kids. It could also be a chance to explain to kids why guns are bad, and why hurting others is never a nice thing to do.
Another wonderful thing about the movie is the music. The songs are so easy to hum along that kids would be singing them in no time! (OK, so maybe not all of you would think of that as good news.)
All and all, I think it's definitely a movie that the whole family would enjoy!
By the way, we now own this movie, and my daughter still wants to watch it almost everyday!
