The previews made the movie seem funny at least but the actual film was completely horrible. There was no drive to the movie, no real plot to it and the acting could have used a major makeover. The cast was alright. Kirstin Dunst actually did a very good job playing her part. It was everyone else that was horrible. This is all the movie really is: these girls are competing in a pageant, a few of them get hurt or killed, and they all make fools of themselves through the entire movie. That's it! The scenarios were completely unrealistic and off the wall and did absolutely nothing to amuse me.
I think I laughed maybe twice during the entire movie until finally I was begging the movie to end. You could tell which scenes were intended to be funny and just failed miserably. I think I fell victim to wanting to see the movie because of the preview but the best parts of the movie were in the preview.
Towards the end everything just got so stupid I was ready to turn off the video. I just want to know where they producers or writers came up with these things and why they actually thought it would be funny!
I don't recommend this movie to anyone who actually would like to be laughing during a movie intended to be a comedy. Now if you'd like to be disgusted by all means watch this. If not, save your money and rent something else worthwhile such as Austin Powers or South Park.
