Pros: Two twenty minute kickboxing workouts, easy and fun to do, very intense workout.
Cons: I would prefer one 45-60 minute workout session.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this workout to anyone of any level-beginner to advanced-do either routine or both and you'll be getting a power-packed workout!
mrsrafes's Full Review: Denise Austin - Power Kickboxing Workout
Plot Details: This opinion reveals everything about the movie's plot.
I have been exercising avidly for ten years, doing everything from step aerobics to weight training to daily six mile runs to slide aerobics. When the kickboxing craze hit the fitness world I knew that I would have to give it a try.
I purchased the Denise Austin "Power Kickboxing Workout" and popped it in the VCR when my usual evening run got rained out. Denise starts the program with a lesson on the different punches, kicks and proper posture for the workout. She then begins program one with a very fun warm-up and keeps you moving through the whole session by doing "pretend" jumping rope in between each set of kicks, jabs and punches. Finally, at the end of session one, she puts all the moves together into one powerful and sweat producing workout.
I was pumped at the end of program one and did the second program right afterwards. In this one, she teached similar moves and puts them together in the end for another combo. I really enjoy doing both programs for a good workout when I take an off day from running or just want to vary my workouts. Although I have a gym membership, I really prefer working out at home to going to the gym. It's a matter of convenience: I am able to work out as early or as late as I prefer, there's no commute to and from the gym,and no problem with exercise class schedules.
I highly recommend this workout to anyone-man or woman-desiring to challenge their everyday exercise routine and take their workout to the next level!
