This ones a must see for people who go to movies for more than entertainment. Its all too real a situation and I think it is one of the few stories in a movie, which you can really relate to.
The director, Sam Mendes does an awesome job of putting things wonderfully in perspective. It really gives you a tangible fear about things that are wrong with the American life today. But even then, it does not leave you depressed or even saddened at the end, just a little sober.
Even with such a serious and delicate topic, the movie has managed some very light moments. Its all very well balanced.
And you cant fault any of the actors. Kevin Spacey has yet again done a great job in handling his character and so has Annette Bennings.
The best part of the movie is undoubtedly the flying plastic bag scene. The movie is worth going to just for that one scene. And I guess, it doesnt do any harm to its Oscar chances.
I guess, the only thing that I didnt quite feel satisfied with was the abrupt transformation of Kevin Spacey's character in the beginning. It should have been dealt with a little more. The viewer is not all togather convinced by this sudden change.
Overall, this is the best movie I have seen, which succeeds so brilliantly in dealing with such a trite topic, bringing out its immense complexities and all its colors.
