Man on the Moon is a well-written insightful movie into the life of Andy Kaufman. It does a good job of letting us know who this man was that stunned audiences worldwide with his off-color wit and humor.
While the movie doesn't delve into the mental makeup of Andy so much (read that it doesn't explain WHY he did the things he did), it is a good narrative of the events of his life. You'll laugh, you'll stand back in awe, you'll feel his pain. Jim Carrey did a wonderful job portraying Andy Kaufman and his brilliance as an overall actor really shines through in this movie, much as it did in The Truman Show.
Jerry "The King" Lawler is even in the movie! Any movie with the King in it is worth seeing, but this one is worth seeing AGAIN.
This is probably the best movie I've seen this year, with the possible exception of Saving Private Ryan. It's a must see!
