Pros: Edge of your seat, offers new twists not seen in other movies.
Cons: Makes you suspicious of your loved ones, because it *could* happen...
The Bottom Line: Double Jeopardy: Convicted of killing someone, and do the time in jail for it? You can go out and kill them again in broad daylight: No hassles.
When I first started seeing the previews for this movie, I knew I had to see it. This was one of the best movies I have see, still to this day. It shows many different emotions and sides of deceit. Everyone turns against each other, and every scene is a complete surprise, not that you'd have expected at all.
If you hadn't seen a preview for this movie, you would have been shocked to find out that the husband stages his own death.
My Favorite Scene!
I think the most interesting part is when she calls her son from prison (she goes to jail for the apparent murder of her husband) and her son is living with her sister! While the son is on the phone, the father walks in and the son exclaims "Daddy!" ...
This leaves the main character puzzled, confused, and she realizes what has happened. Her husband faked his own death, leaving her to blame as the murderess. He was seeing (and later married) her sister, and they keep her son. When she gets out of prison, she goes after them. A fellow inmate tells her that because of this certain law, Double Jeopardy since she's already served the time for killing her husband, even if she kills him in broad daylight, she can get away with it.
It is such an interesting movie. There are few movies that I would watch more than once, and this is one of them. :) It's a good movie if you are single, but not if you're married and have a loving husband and a child. Then it's pretty scary.
