Allthough I do see that you are well versed in Oscar awards, I think you've gone the wrong way with this film.
I do commend you for being aware of the issues regarding this movie, but the movie in itself was groundbreaking - not 'narrow.' Unlike a similar movie, The Brandon Tenna Story, which is a documentary - this is a 'major scale' Hollywood film. Therefore, the issues they have tackled should be commended, not condemmed.
I feel like I'm being to harsh on you - I want you to realize that I'm fond of your perception and ability to know a lot of the film. Its the themes in this movie that are amazing, not the lack thereof.
